We're off now...into our annual holiday issue of the Pit! HAPPY HAPPY, JOY JOY... It's that busy time of year again! People have been running themselves ragged searching for the perfect gift - some ignoring the rules of etiquette by knocking over anyone who stands in their way. We hear cries of "Outta my way, Granny, I saw it first," along with the intense sounds of screeching children echoing through the packed malls. It's the holiday season, but amidst all the chaos, we know that there's much more than this. There's joy, laughter, and the anticipation of gathering with loved ones near and far. The best gifts are the ones that don't come wrapped; they are given and received generously in the form of extra patience, love, understanding and thoughtfulness...it's what the holidays are actually about. ANTICIPATING THE YEAR AHEAD... In 2002, we'll have some jammin' things to look forward to, all of which will become much clearer after February when the band gets together to begin working on the new album. There are rumors of Pearl Jam tour dates for 2002 but until the album is completed, nothing has been decided. In the coming year, we'll also be looking forward to the Pearl Jam rarities album, a new Brad album, some possible Brad tour dates and Ed on the Ramones' tribute album. Also, don't forget the soundtrack for the movie "I Am Sam" due out January 8th, featuring Eddie's cover of the Beatles' song, "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away." REMINDERS... On December 14th, VH1 aired clips from the recent Groundwork 2001 concert. A repeat broadcast is scheduled for December 25th. Check local listings for details and program notes. 2001 HOLIDAY SINGLE... Ten Club Update: Due to some delays in getting clearances on the artwork for the 2001 holiday single, it will be late. We're sure that it won't be there by Christmas, but it should follow shortly after. Of course, that is assuming that all goes well with the artwork. Keep your fingers crossed. It will be worth the wait. It is excellent. - Ten Club. RUMORS, RUMOURS, RUMORS...
