I don't remember what I answered, but he probably heared nothing. When someone's asking me why I like music which I like or why I hear what I hear, I just don't answere. There is not "good music" or "bad music" in "my small music-world". There is a music which I hear or not. What I hear? I hear what I like... and what I like is this what I hear... I play guitar and I love guitar's music. My horizones were locked in this narrow path. Path of guitar and her soul... So maybe that's why I like Pearl Jam... or maybe there is some different reason... "Crown of Thorns" is a song played by Mother Love Bone. For me it's a magic song with great lyrics. All my friends haven't any tabulatures or notes of this song, so I decided to write this for peaople like my friends and maybe You. I hope, that it's clear of mistakes, but if You have any corrections, ideas or some better tabulature, please inform me. I have just one audio-version of this song. It's mp3 from some website. My version is playing by Pearl Jam in the concert in 10th anniversary of bands egzisting. It's a concert-version so probably in some kind is different than studio-version. Nonetheless I tried to write it as well as possible. Enjoy! PS. I hate to write on keyboard so text in first paragraph is abridged. And I don't much speak English, so I apologize for mistakes in grammar and vocabulary... ;] __________________ |"Crown of Thorns"| | by Pearl Jam | """"""""""""""""""" This is my first tabulature... verses (main riff): <--let ring---> <-rake-> e|------------------|------------------| B|------------------|-----------*------| G|-7-7--------------|-X-X-X-X-5-5------| D|-7-7--------------|-X-X-X-X-5-5-5----| A|-5-4--------------|-X-X-X-X-3-2-5----| E|------------------|-------------3----| *I'm not sure, maybe it's just B5 or B... chorus: e|------------|------------|------------|------------| B|------------|------------|------------|------------| G|-7-7-7-7----|-5-5-5-5----|-7-7-7-7----|-5-5--------| D|-7-7-7-7----|-5-5-5-5----|-7-7-7-7----|-5-5-5------| A|-5-4-5-4----|-3-2-3-2----|-5-4-5-4----|-3-2-5------| E|------------|------------|------------|-----3------| after first solo and background for main solo: e|------------|------------|------------|------------| B|------------|------------|------------|------------| G|-9-9-9-9----|-7-7-7-7----|-9-9-9-9----|-7-7--------| D|-9-9-9-9----|-7-7-7-7----|-9-9-9-9----|-7-7-7------| A|-7-6-7-6----|-5-4-5-4----|-7-6-7-6----|-5-4-7------| E|------------|------------|------------|-----5------| Lirycs: Verse 1 : You've never heard a story of mr Faded Glory Say, he who rides a pony must someday fall I was talking to my altar, says life is what you make it And if you make it dead, well rest your soul away It's a broken kinda feeling She'll have to tie me to the ceiling A bad news coming better say your prayer I wanna tell you that I love you, but doesn't really matter? I just can't stand to see you dragging down again Chorus : So I'm singing! This is my kinda love It's a kind that moves on It's a kind that leaves me alone Verse 2 : I used to treat you like a lady Now you're my substitute teacher This bottle's not a pretty, not a pretty sight I owe the man some money So I'm turning over, honey Oh, mr Faded Glory is once again doin' time Chorus : Oh yeah, this is my kinda love It's the kind that moves on It's the kind that, it's the kind that... Leaves me alone, yeah! Like a crown of thorns, uh... It's all who you know, yeah So don,t burn your bridges, 'cause someday, yeah... Here Mike plays short solo : So I'm singing! This is my kinda love It's the kind that moves on It's the kind that leaves me alone, yeah This is my kinda love It's the kind that moves on It's the kin that... leaves me alone! Don't burn your bridges, no ,no Here we can taste a great solo from Mike ('till end). That's all. I didn't transcripted Mike's solo, 'cause I think that every guitarist should have his own idea for solos. And I think that own solo is most sincere (even if those are only three notes)... Every comments or/and corrections send to jereman@o2.pl See ya! And enjoy this song!
